If the goal and direction is definite then our program is also definite. I call the current situation profit-obsession because satisfaction will never be achieved here, but we will keep running like mad. This is the definition of obsession. I have seen this madness. You must also be seeing it. This craze for profit keeps increasing, it never slows down. What goal will we achieve by increasing this madness? At what point will we find satisfaction? Even if we achieve accumulation and comfort, they can be used only within the realm of consumption, multi-consumption and over-consumption. It has no other destination. No-one could find satisfaction from consumption until today. These two testimonies have led me to conclude that the current situation is nothing but an obsession. If all 7 billion of the world population becomes obsessed this way, then who will come to their rescue? In an attempt to find the answer to this question, through exploration, I concluded that each human wants the good of all, happiness, certainty, and its continuity. All this put together is the content of this discovery (of Madhyasth Darshan). Economic system is one part of this whole picture.

Economic resources are in the form of body, mind and wealth. All three will have to be there. There is no economics if any one of these is left out. The economics that we have read so far calls itself the science of wealth. It considers money as the economic resource. Money is said to be in two forms – (1) metal, (2) paper. Paper money is produced in printing presses. As printing technology became commonly accessible, it has led to forgery of printed money. So modern economics, whose paeans are sung everywhere, is no more than the science of currency notes and coins! We may have all the currency notes and coins in the world, but unless we get the desired things from them, they can neither fill our stomach nor quench our thirst. So what is money? Money is merely a symbolic unit for exchange. Having a symbol is not the same as having the real thing. The belief that if we have money we can buy anything, is madness. In order to resolve this predicament, I have postulated that economic resources are in the form of body, mind and wealth. Here the meaning of wealth is basic needs (food, shelter, and clothing) and greater needs (telecommunication and transportation). In the proposed system, the things of our need will be utilised and not get hoarded. For example, we could keep the grain that we grow for one year, two years, even four years. If we keep it for longer then it starts rotting. In the same way, a machine or an instrument would get rusted if it is not put to use. Therefore, whatever we produce is meant to be used, and not hoarded. Even if we were to hoard, it can only be done to an extent.
